A group invite code is a 6-12 character alphanumeric code (like "a1b2c3d4") that lets you join an existing expense-sharing group. Any current group member can share this code—they'll find it by tapping the share button in the group or in group settings. It's usually shared via WhatsApp message along with the invite link.
Yes! Group members can share a direct invite link like qizzl.com/join/a1b2c3d4. Click the link on your phone and it opens the app directly to join. If you paste a full link into the code field above, we'll extract the code automatically—no need to retype it.
Group members can add you by name and phone number before you have the app—you appear as a "ghost member" with your expenses and balances tracked. When you download We Settled and sign up with the same phone number, your account automatically links to that profile. All expense history, splits, and balances transfer seamlessly.
You'll instantly see all shared expenses and current balances—who owes whom and how much. Start adding expenses right away: enter the amount, select who participated, and choose how to split (equal, exact amounts, percentage). The app calculates balances automatically. All group members get notified when you join.
Yes, you need the free We Settled app and an account. Signup takes under a minute—just verify your phone number with a one-time OTP (no email required) and enter your name. Your phone number links you to any groups where you were added as a ghost member before downloading.
You can join up to 100 groups. Most users have separate groups for different purposes—a travel group for each trip, a roommate group for rent and bills, a couple's group for shared expenses, and friend groups for dinners or activities. Each group can have up to 100 members and 1,000 expenses.
Yes, leave any group anytime from group settings. We recommend settling outstanding balances first via UPI or cash. After leaving, your past expenses remain in group history so others' balances stay accurate, but you won't be included in new splits or see future expenses. Rejoin anytime with a new invite code.
Double-check you've entered it correctly without extra spaces—codes are case-insensitive. If it still fails, the group may have been deleted or the code regenerated by a group admin. Ask the person who invited you to share a fresh invite link via WhatsApp from the app.
